project overview
Lush Pockets is a landscape architecture proposal in Highgate, London, developed in response to the All London Green Grid initiative, which envisions transforming London into a National Park City by 2050.
By transforming the former Highgate Railway Station into a series of interconnected ecological “pockets,” the project reconnects fragmented green spaces between Highgate Wood and Parkland Walk, creating an educational garden network that promotes biodiversity, environmental awareness, and community participation.
Through small-scale, adaptive landscape interventions, Lush Pockets reimagines urban infrastructure as a living system—one that evolves with nature, responds to seasonal change, and restores the ecological memory of the city.
